A little procession from another Christmas.
Inspired by traditional Victorian paper decorations, this beautifully illustrated garland follows Father Christmas through the winter sky, his sleigh laden with toys and drawn by a line of flying reindeer.
Each image is embossed and die-cut, giving the illustrations a softly dimensional, almost collected quality. The individual motifs can be moved along the red cotton string, allowing the garland to be arranged loosely across a shelf or doorway, or gathered more closely for a smaller display.
Lightweight enough to pack carefully away once the season is over, it is the kind of Christmas decoration made to reappear year after year.
Curator’s note
Chosen for its wonderfully nostalgic character. We love the richness of the old-fashioned illustration and the simple paper construction — festive without feeling overly polished, and beautiful enough to become part of the Christmas ritual.
