Grapat LO

A playful collection of colour, form and possibility.

The Grapat LO Set brings together 36 beautifully simple wooden pieces in six rainbow colours, combining little Lola figures with hollow tubes, solid tubes and half tubes. Designed without a prescribed way to play, each piece can be stacked, nested, sorted, balanced or transformed into something entirely imagined.

Children might match the little figures with their coloured tubes, build towers and structures, create tiny characters and worlds, or explore size, shape and relationships between the pieces. The different forms fit and interact with one another in wonderfully satisfying ways, inviting experimentation and discovery through play.

Bright, tactile and endlessly adaptable, LO is a smaller sister to Grapat's much-loved Lola collection — offering all the richness of open-ended play in a beautifully considered 36-piece set.

Curator’s note

One of those deceptively simple sets that can become almost anything. We especially love the little Lola figures disappearing inside the tubes, reappearing as characters, and finding their way into buildings, small worlds and wonderfully improbable constructions.
