Ernst Freihoff Nostalgic Paper Angel Ornaments | Set of 6

A little piece of an old German Christmas tradition.

Made in Germany by Ernst Freihoff, these delicate paper angels draw on the tradition of Glanzbilder — richly printed, embossed and die-cut paper pictures that have been collected and used for decoration since the 19th century. Their nostalgic illustrations are based on historic motifs, giving each piece the feeling of something discovered in an old Christmas box.

The set includes six different angel faces framed within deep blue stars, each finished with a fine golden tinsel loop for hanging. Lightweight and beautifully detailed, they sit effortlessly amongst glass baubles, candles and greenery without weighing down the branches.

Delicate, traditional and intentionally simple — the kind of decorations to carefully wrap away and rediscover each December.
